# Slack Variables

The following variables are automatically added to your conversation when your chatbot is conversating on this channel:

| ------------ | ---------------------------------- |
| bot\_channel | Set to "SlackChannel"              |
| user\_name   | The user name of the slack contact |
| user\_id     | The user id of the slack contact   |
